VISAKHAPATNAM: In major relief to property buyers, especially apartments, Goods and  Sales Tax  ( GST ) authorities have warned realtors and construction companies of punitive action if they do not pass on the benefits of input tax credit to the buyers by reducing the prices. Govt hints at reviewing rates in top GST bracket

Make sketch lines Photoshop

If you want to turn a photo into a painting, adding sketch lines can make the effect look more realistic. To do so, duplicate your layer then go to  Filter>Stylise>Glowing Edges , then invert the colours, desaturate and use the Darken or Multiply Blend Mode.

View one layer

There's a really easy way to overlay an image on top of text. Drop an image layer over a type layer then hold down  Alt  and click the line between the two layers in the Layers Panel to clip the image to the text.

Steps to file Refund application for the IGST paid on Export of Goods

There is no requirement to file separate refund for IGST paid on export of goods. The Shipping Bills filed by the taxpayer itself is treated as the refund application and the refund amount is processed and paid to the taxpayer if the following conditions are fulfilled. 1. GSTR 3B for the relevant tax period should have been filed. 2. Form GSTR-1 for the month of July or Table 6A of GSTR - 1 for subsequent months must be filed. 3. Shipping bill no. & date & other details should be mentioned in Table 6A of GSTR - 1. 4. IGST amount to be paid should be shown under  Table 3.1(b) of  GSTR 3B which must be equal or greater than the IGST amount shown tto be paid under Table 6A GSTR 1. 5. The invoice details given under GSTR 1 / Table 6A of GSTR 1 and given under shipping bill should be same.

GST Council reduces GST rates on 18 handicrafts items

The  Goods and Service Tax (GST) Council has reduced the  GST rates on 18 handicrafts items which include items like idols of clay, wood, stone, metals, table and kitchenware, paper machie articles, stone inlay work, statues, worked ivory, bone, shell horn items, cotton quilts, brooms and brushes and some natural fibre products. This was informed by the Export Promotion Council for Handicrafts (EPCH), a nodal agency for promotion and development of handicrafts exports from the country, in a press statement recently. On items like idols of clay GST has been reduced from 28 percent to 12 percent. Also people with idol business of worth Rs 20 lakhs do not need to register with GST. Only 5 percent tax on cotton quilts worth up to Rs 1000. Cotton quilts worth more than that will be levied 12 percent tax. And 5 percent tax which was levied on cotton sports has been removed. A panel of industry representatives is set to recommend a fresh set of changes in the goods and services tax  ( GST ) to make life easier for businesses. The government has already undertaken massive changes, including pruning the list of items in the highest bracket of 28% to 50 from over 200 products earlier. While several changes have been brought as temporary relief measures, such as quarterly filing of returns, the panel wants them to be made permanent. This is in addition to suggesting simplification of forms, an issue that is also being dealt with by a committee headed by GST Network  chairman A B Pandey. At the same time, the committee wants an overhaul of the architecture, beginning with an extension of the composition scheme to services, a benefit that is currently available to small traders, manufacturers and restaurants.
